I found this little bottle at a junk shop and no one seems to know what it is or was used for. I have a few ideas but does anyone know for sure. The mark on the bottom says “opi63” or “op163” with the number ’33’ and with a mark I cannot distinguish but which looks like a diamond/oval shape with an ‘s’ inside it and the number ‘6’ next to it???? Maybe it could be put on the “What is it Wednesday” page. I’ve just been so curious with this (somewhat phallic-looking) little bottle. Any ideas? I suspect it’s medical but who knows. Oh, yes, there is no opening or hole it the tip – it is a closed bottle. I’ve included a pic of the internal space leading to the tip. Thanks for going to the trouble and looking for this. No, the shape is vertical rather than horizontal and the two sides are more like curves which meet at top and bottom. The ‘S’ in the centre is also vertical between the two arches. It is a very small mark (in the pic it is next to my thumb (bottom right (4 o’clock I did measure it but forgot to include. The base diameter is 1.5 inches (30mm) and the height 5.5 inches (85mm). It does fit perfectly into the ear and I just thought the rest was to hold it. But, one thing…the inside is dirty and looks like it could have had fluid in it at some stage so I am starting to think your idea about it being a normal bottle that;’s melted a little might be right. It also looks like it could have been a screw to bottle as the are what looks like ridges around the tip part. I think I’l accept your explanation. I suppose the thing that interested me were the fact that there were marks on such a insignificant little bottle.
