My father and I were going through some old counseling and antique watches that had been collected by my grandfather. We came across an item that I cant seem to find a good comparison for to get an idea on its value.

It appears to be a brass watch fob from the 1904 st. Louis world fair. I can find several ornate souvenir ones but this one is very simple and doesn’t have any pictures on it. It simply says department of admissions 1904 l.p.e. I can find souvenir admission coins, and fobs that look like coins. But they are all far more decorated than this simple piece and I am thinking it may have been for an employee or official of the fair.

Any thoughts?

Sorry I haven’t responded. Hopefully someone will still see this. I was basing the world fair on the 1904 date, the st Louis stamp and the stylized L.P.E.for Louisiana purchase expo.

I did not find anything associated with the Worlds Fair similar to this !! Is it possible it was from another venue ??

So I got the pictures up a few days ago. Does anyone have any thoughts or maybe an idea of value? My father thinks it’s worth a bit, I’m not so convinced but its uniqueness makes it hard for me to get a handle on.
