I have inherited two Tiffany solitaire diamond engagement rings that were in white (not the famous blue) paper box with a white Tiffany & Co. paper label and lined in white velvet. The rings date back to late 1800’s or early 1900. Does anyone have any idea when Tiffany used a white box and if they are rare? When I had the rings appraised, the appraiser was very excited and more interested in the boxes than the rings! Thank you.
Tiffany’s has been using the famous blue box since the store first opened in 1837 as Tiffany & Young.

You can probably get the best and most correct answer by contacting Tiffany’s directly.

You may have to speak to a manager – someone who has been there a while. Good luck.
