I received a small statuette when I was a girl, in the late 80’s. It is 8″ tall, it is glossy, it has had small pieces break off of it over the years, including but not limited to the bow of the violin, and the neck of the violin. It seems that the glossy finish has these hairline cracks in it.
I’m very new at this and I have always had such curiosity and now with the internet, I am hoping that this forum full of smarties can help me.
All I know:
It belonged to my Great Grandma Nan and she’d passed it down to me. It is definitely older than I am by a long shot, and I am trying to figure out what this mark is on the bottom. My daughter asks me about it and I have no idea about its history. Age? Maker? Time Period? Location it was made? ANY information would be great.

It has a 3 Point Crown, almost like a jester, with “A. S Made Italy” stamped on the bottom. NO color though to the stamp, just in the material.

Also, why won’t this forum let me post a picture?

Kindest,
Meagan

Need to see this mark and the figurine !! You may need to resize the pics to about 30kb for this site !! Or perhaps you tried to post them while the site was down !! Try again !!
