I recently found, squirreled away in a dark corner of my great grandfathers basement work shop an almost exclusively very heavy metal paper cutter the only thing not metal is the wooden handle on the cuter arm. The copper plate on the base is inscribed George H Sanborne and Sons New York and Chicago Standard Machinary Co Mystic Connecticut. The plate is screwed to the base with two flat head screws. Do you know anything about the age or history of this? I have traced the company back to Historic mystic…
I have pictures of it attached but need someone to lug it upstairs to get better ones. It weighs a good 50 lbs if not more..
