I am going to ask other members of antique-shop.com,, if I can copy & paste the pic that is !! I just started looking around here recently and it seems that not many are active here !! Give me a day or so to track this thing down !! If you could find out the height it would help a lot !!

That would be a bit too short for a guest book stand !! A drawer would be more what I would expect !! Do you mind if I post the pic to another forum for other opinions !! Not sure if I can from here but I can try !! Sometimes several heads are better than one !!
This is an odd piece of furniture !! Glad it was taken out of the garbage !! Where are you located in the U.S.??

From the photo i would guess the height to be between 24″ to 36″ ,there is a door to the right in the photo and it looks to be a bit shorter than the knob placement . from my perspective i would assume a drawer and not a door. thank you for your opinion, i wish i had more information to offer
