Can someone help identify my camera and possibly the value? I bought a large lot of old cameras at an auction and found this little camera inside. It is in a very old brown/black case on which it is written Y. No. 495 Quantity Made in Japan.
On the camera itself it says Collegiate Camera No. 2. It measures approximately 4 1/2″ long, 2 1/2″ wide & 3 1/4″ high. The directions are on onion skin paper so I can only guess that this is pretty old.

Unfortunately, I can’t figure out how to get my photos to upload, but I can email pictures to anyone who may be able to help.

It doesn’t say. The directions just say to insert film pack into the slot in back of camera. There is a diagram on the instructions and all the picture of the film says is “collegiate film”.

What film does your camera use ??

No luck with the photos. I’ll have to ask people how to reduce them. The closest thing I have found on the Internet is a Kodak No. 2 camera. But, my camera has Collegiate Camera No. 2 instead.

Thanks so much for responding. I don’t think these were security cameras though. It is so small it fits in the palm of my hand.

I am trying to upload the photos again. I think I reduced them.

Really need to see it but from what I can find these were security cameras for schools !! The words “Made in Japan” should tell you something !!
