You might an find look through these to see if you can find something similar !!

Because the stem end of the leaf is bent up to form a handle of sorts I would assume the same !! So it can be carried and moved easily !! Does a votive or tea light fit the indention ?? If so then that is what I would assume it is !! They made many of these things especially in the 60`s and 70`s,, !! Possibly sold with the scented votives !!
