Looks like it may not be a lamp at all !!

Is there a wick with it ?? With that round burner I would guess it was a whale oil lamp !! Is it cut glass or pressed ?? The burner is certainly made different from most !! Is that all the information it had ??
I would say the burner may be from Spain but the glass looks like many patterns from the USA !! Let me cross post to another forum for more info !!

I bought it at a consignment store and there was a card with a description with it.

Who told you this and where did you get this lamp ??
