I have recently found a candy container that I have never seen before, and would like more information about it’s age and value. It is a windmill of glass panes, has a red metal bottom that slides off to extract the candy, a red metal top that holds a red/white and ble windmill that actually turns. The windmill has a post that fits through the red metal top and into a hole in the top of the glass container. The flag end of the windmill has the word “Teddy” on one side and a picture of a teddy bear on the opposite side. Everything is in pristine condition.
I have found your candy container in Schroeders price guide book Listed – Windmill,Teddy,crisscross tower, tin cap $850.00. I would assume that your’s is quite old and original. They have a long list of reproductions to beware of and your’s is not on the list. If you have the original box add another 200 to 300.00. I know that these are highly collectable. Even though this guide that I found it in is dated 2003 the price might be higher now but then maybe not with money being tight today. This is not meant for you but I wish people on this forum would at least respond with a Thank You when I attempt to help them with their questions. It’s not being very nice.
