I have a canvas painting that I purchased many years ago 22″ X 29″. It is not in good shape as the canvas is failing. On the back of the canvas was an envelope attached that stated the Picture of boy and dog was won at a spelling bee 1878. I see no signature or markings on the painting. My husband keeps telling me to toss it…but I simply love it. I don’t know what its value is or even if it has any since it is in bad condition. I have no idea where to even start to find out about this painting and would appreciate any help you can provide me. Thanks!
