I think that it is a sign of bad manners to ask a question, receive at least a partial answer which greatly improves chances of item-specific ID and promises a price increase (after all: Richard-Ginori is no small brand), but then never return to thank the poster(s) or at least acknowledge that the thread has been read.
This is a general problem of most fora nowadays: people wanting friendly worded answers the instant the question was asked, straight on their smart phone, for free , and at 3:00 in the morning. Even if they sent no (or very bad) pictures.
I can not help to see that various small businesses I know have reverted to their ID-for-fee model, charging people beforehand, because resources are wasted on looking up information for people that are simply not worth the effort.
