Thanks for coming back !! You see,,we are simply volunteers here and are in no way affiliated with the site !! And it does get a bit irritating when we take our time and get no response from those that post the questions !! I know sometimes that other things may take precedence over this forum,, but we do not know that !! I can not tell you the number of times we have either answered a question or asked for additional information/better pics ect and get no response at all !! It gets a little disheartening at times !! Friedrich is an expert in pottery/porcelain of that region and at least you have a pretty good idea of the mark !! However Ginori would only have produced the body of the lamp,, as far as I know !!

THANKS ?
Very sorry Friedrich and marthahill for not thanking you for your educated input. I can give you reasons for my slow reply but really I should have thanked you straight away. Pages such as these are very important, not just for money making. Older items are being disposed of without regard to history….so please don’t let my rudeness affect future help requests.

Unfortunately Friedrich we have been doing that a while now !! Very few are nice enough to reply back !! Manners are a thing of the past !! Hope you had a wonderful
Thanksgiving !! Even if its not celebrated in Germany as it is here !! You can find something to be thankful for I am sure !!

I think that it is a sign of bad manners to ask a question, receive at least a partial answer which greatly improves chances of item-specific ID and promises a price increase (after all: Richard-Ginori is no small brand), but then never return to thank the poster(s) or at least acknowledge that the thread has been read.

This is a general problem of most fora nowadays: people wanting friendly worded answers the instant the question was asked, straight on their smart phone, for free , and at 3:00 in the morning. Even if they sent no (or very bad) pictures.

I can not help to see that various small businesses I know have reverted to their ID-for-fee model, charging people beforehand, because resources are wasted on looking up information for people that are simply not worth the effort.
