We have recently come across a cream churn. Large jar that reads ORVUS vertically on jar, with Proctor and Gamble across bottom in raised lettering. The paddles and lid for the churn are in decent shape. What I am trying to find out — is this a legit cream churn, or could the churning mechanism just have been put on this jar? I am asking because anything I have seen about ORVUS is that is a soap — for both horses and as a gentle cleanser for quilts. Mostly what I am finding to read is, of course, about Dazey churns. Thank you.

Thank you very much for the info. Much appreciated, and more than I was able to find. Thanks again.
