Hello everyone! I am new to this forum so please bare with me as I get started:)
I have a 30 gallon crock with a maple leaf on the front. above the leaf toward the top is the #30 and below the leaf it simply says,Western Stoneware Company, Monmouth, Ill. The print is black.
I have found many articles about the company but have not been able to find a 30 gal. crock to compare it to. Does anyone know where I might be able to find a comparable? Any and all info will be much appreciated.

Thanks so much Carolyn! Very useful information. I think I’ll just hang on to it for awhile. I have a large fern sitting in it on my porch for now. Don’t know if there are any Amish settlements in Texas;)

Hi and welcome to the forum. There was one 30 gallon crock in completed listings exactly like your’s listed for $75.00 but it had a hairline crack all the way down the back. I was at an auction 3 weeks ago and a 25 gallon western in good condition went for $ 90.00. There is not a big demand for large crocks like that, even wine makers don’t use them anymore. years ago my mom used large crocks like that for putting hams in salt brine for weeks then my Dad would smoke them. It’s hard to put a value on something without seeing it. But if it were mine and in good condition, no chip’s or crack’s, and I wanted to sell it I would ask at least $175.00. You can alway’s come down a little. It also depends on where you live. The amish use them a lot for pickles and saurkraut.
