Hi
Thank you for responding The jar is 9 3/4 in. tall with lid on. It is tapered 5.5 at the bottom and the mouth is 7.5in. The lid is pagoda shaped. The design is of two bonzi trees with the words “Fortune Kookies” on the front. I would say it’s basic color is mustard. The bottom has “Deforest of Calif” C1967
5535. Thanks again

Hi, DeForest is Margaret DeForest who made these potteries in Duarte,Calif. along with her husband out of their house or garage. I beleive she designed them also. My cookie book has many pictures of these cookie jars but they all don’t have a number associated with the jar. If you could discribe your jar I might be able to help you more. There is 3 jars that are valued at more than $1000.00. Others range from $95.00 to $600.00. So either way you made a very good buy. There business was 1950-1970
