I tried posting to the furniture forum but it wouldn’t let me start my own post…only add on to the “What is it” thread…so I came here.

Anyway, I just bought this dining set for $125 from a guy on Craigslist. He said he got it from in 1978 at a barn sale from an elderly woman that said she got it as a wedding gift (not sure when). It’s in good shape, came with the table (top looks like burled walnut…not sure about the legs) and 4 chairs. The table has a pop-up leaf. The legs are interestingly shaped and the overall look appears Art Deco to me…best guess is 1930’s but I am certainly no expert. I bought it because I thought it was nice and the price was nice as well.

If you have any info on the pieces I would love to hear. The value is not that important to me but of course it’s interesting to know….but I am more interested in age and details. Thanks!
