Has anyone seen anything like this?

It is from Wheeling West Virginia, and although it says “wheeling range and stove company. patent appld”, it seems more like a lamp to me? Can’t believe it could have put out much heat.

Nobody seems to have any idea of what this is, or even if it is worth anything.

Any help would be appreciated.

the pull out drawer actally pulls both globes out, and has a cap in between globes toward the front that pops out, (if you look close you can see this) and presumably you put kerosene into it. the botttom part can maybe hold about a half gallon of fuel. this part of it (the drawer type mechanism)’ is all copper. i am almost certain it is not a food warmer, but that is interesting. it is from wheeling wv, and it does seem rare since no one can figure exactly what it is, or why such device was made. there are wicks in each globe that have never been used. the main title is “valley star”. any help is much appreciated.

no, I have never seen anything like it either, What’s confusing is the pull out drawer, does it open and what do you put in it and is it wide enough to put food on top? In answer to your other question, It is definately worth something especially that it’s made in Wheeling WV. and it’s rareity. How much? Not sure.

Could it be an old food warmer? It struck me right away as something giving off heat so I thought of a winter heater, but a food warmer makes more sense.
