I recently acquired two painted punch-board cigar store indians; they are 38 inches tall and 1 foot wide from the base. The back is a flat board and the front has some shallow craving to indicate the figure’s limbs and facial features. I’m hoping for some assistance with the history, background, and estimated value of these most interesting pieces. Any assistance offered is greatly appreciated.
