This is a humidor (I think) that was given to my father in the 1950’s by a wealthy man he did some work for. It is very ornate, heavy, and cedar lined. I have the key for it also – in the shape of a standing lion.

The marks on the bottom are a standing lion with GERMANY under it and a small “o”.

Is it brass? Is it a humidor? Anybody know anything about this item?

Any info would be appreciated.
