We have a dresser with mirror, bureau, and full size bed that belonged to Grandma that we’re trying to figure out where it came from and there’s only one label in one drawer. Gotta make the image smaller but the label has “Cabinet Makers Guild” around the upper 2/3rds circumference, “Sterling” on the bottom 1/3rd circumference, and “Guild Made” in the middle circle. Any information is appreciated.

hi, Guild Made means a large group of cabinet and furniture skilled makers. like a factory. They made furniture for many companies then get shipped out to furniture stores like Mongomery Wards, Sear & Roebuck etc. This furniture was probably made for Sterling Furniture stores or warehouse. At one time they had many stores & warehouses and then sent to other stores. It is hard to know where it was made. I know Grand Rapids Mich. had many of these guild maker shops and many others all over. sorta what the Amish do today.
