I inherited an award that my father received and I’m trying to find information on it and what it might be worth. It is a beveled crystal cube with a sphere of tiny bubbles encased in it; it measures approximately 2 1/2″ on all sides. It sits on a chrome cube (also 2 1/2″ on all sides with a large hole through the center (approximately 1 1/2″ across), I think maybe that’s so you can sit the item on a lighted surface. The beveled cube is signed Steuben on one of the beveled edges. It comes in a red leather case lined in red velvet with a gold latch. Inside the lid is says STEUBEN GLASS. My father received it in the 1970s from IBM; it was for an Outstanding Contribution Award in Engineering.
Can anyone tell me how I might determine who the designer was? What it might be worth?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
