I recently purchase an item that I can’t seem to find any information on. Can someone please help? I’m including pictures.
It’s a leather piece that about 20″ long and has two hanging rings on the top with 3 brass hooks “riveted” into the leather. There is also an ornate embossed brass figure of two griffins.

What you have is a home made key holder,,someones hobby project !! Those are screws not rivets !! The two rings at top would indicate it was made to hang on a flat surface,, like a wall !! The center hook is cast yet the two on the ends are sheet brass !! That says they were not originally made for this item !! The screws that are used on the center hook are different from the ones that hold the end hooks !! That says the parts came from different things !! The flowers on the end hooks have no relation to the center hook and if you will look closely the holes where the screws go on the center piece do not fit the screw shank !! But after all that,, it is a very original piece that you can call “folk art” !! I would hang it and use it as the person intended,, to hang my keys when I come in the door !!
