Can anyone help me with this wooden carved Church. The bottom states that it is ‘ Native Southern Tyrolien ‘ .

The region was named Tyrol in 1948 !! It is , however, known for its wood carvers !!
Yours is a lovely piece and well worth keeping !!

Once again, thank you. Actually, the bottom of this piece, was simply a piece of paper with scotch tape. This paper had ‘ south Tyrolian ‘ . Other than that, there is no backstamp or hallmark. Thanks again.

Tourist piece brought back from someones trip to Italy or an import or brought back after military service !! Same as all the little cuckoo clocks from the black forest in Germany !!
Many of those were brought home with soldiers !! Since early 1900`s items intended for export and sold outside of where made has to have country of origin !! That’s why it has “made in Italy” on the label !! McKinley Tariff act 1912,,I think !! Until WWII some just used the country of origin, but after 1940 or so most used the ” Made in” with country of origin name !! Your church is probably mid century or thereabout !!
