My thought is 1970`s or 80`s when the Yuppie generation started the “Save the Animals” movement !! The number on the bottom would be the mold number and would have had a sticker with Mfrs name !! Its a nice piece of ceramic art !! Looks well done !! No way to ID maker unless you just happen to find another one like/similar to it !! From the way the numbers are shaped was not made in U.S. or UK !! Or any other European country in my opinion !!
Did you ask the person you bought it from or whoever the owner was about it ??
It is approximately 12″ high and maybe 10″ across.
I’m guessing it’s older (when I say older, I don’t mean a hundred years – more like decades) based on two things:
1. There’s a “velvet” type of paper underneath that was once glued on. The paper is quite aged – not abused; just old.
2. The colors are pretty muted and seem to be like a 1950’s or 1960’s style to me.
