Oh !! Knew something was wrong !! Sorry about the accident !! Hope it is healing well !!

Was fitting a new stainless steel kitchen sink. Wearing safety cloves and fumbling around with tiny wingnuts and washers just does not match so I had just taken off one glove when the whole sink slipped. You can imagine how well THAT went. No permanent damage but healing will take a while.

Sorry. Cut my hand (required stitches and a few days of no typing).

re: images of first post here:

– first is Goebel (from Oeslau, Bavaria, 1935-1949)
– second is Meissen (from Meissen, Saxony, 1925+)
– third is something French but definitely not German (or even Volkstedt)

Really ?? There is never a man around when you need one is there ?? Thought sure Friedrich would have been here by now !! But at least you know what they are !!

http://www.porcelainmarksandmore.com/site/search/index.php?zoom_query=Volkstedt&zoom_page=1&zoom_per_page=10&zoom_and=0&zoom_sort=0

There are two pages of Volkstedt info and when you click on one you will find the marks at the bottom of the page !! In case you need more info !! Many of the German mfrs have long histories !! This is the best site for porcelains of that region !!
