Oh No !! I meant to look at Chris` site for the real Augustus Rex, Meissen marks !! Once you know what the correct marks look like it will be easier to tell the fakes and look – a- like marks !! For the Japanese or Chinese marks try www.gotheborg.com !! But I am not sure they would have marks like these since they are simply look-a-like marks but you can look there to see !! You do not have to pay a fee to use their reference material !! You might consider posting this egg cup and mark on my other forum,,www.antique-shop.com !! Someone there may recognize it !!

Even though very pretty the quality is not Meissen and it looks quite new !! Pretty sure you have a modern Japanese or Chinese look-a-like !! Go to www.porcelainmarksandmore.com and search for the correct marks !! Have never seen the AR mark made like that !! And have not seen it made in gold paint !!
