My husband and some relatives were out canoeing this weekend and came across an old dump near the river bed where the soil had eroded enough that a few things were sticking out. He retrieved two pharmacy bottles and I have no idea whether or not they have any value. The bottom of one has an “O” in the center of a square with a six on one side and a five on the other. The bottle otherwise has no markings. The other bottle I am totally intrigued by. It has “MEAD & MILLHOUSE PRESCRIPTION DRUGGISTS, LUVERNE MN” in raised letters. The bottles are pretty much the same size. The Mead bottle has an M, TD MAY 15 8 on the bottom with some unknown figures below those. I grew up in Luverne and talked to an 84 year old uncle who also grew up there. Neither one of us has ever heard of this pharmacy. How do I find out when the pharmacy existed, and do these bottles have any value?
