I have a myanmar rocking chaise recliner with ornate mother of pearl inlays. I want to sell it. Can anyone recommend where/how to sell this item, as it should be priced from $2000-$5000? I am willing to sell for considerably less.

A store would only pay you 30 to 50% of what they think they can sell it for !! I sell large items on Craigslist with no problems !! Try your local classifieds or some of the retro sites online with a free classified section !! Just always have someone with you when its picked up !! You can usually figure if its a good buyer by the questions they ask !!
One tip I can give for selling online,,Se up a separate email on Gmail or another site rather than using your personal email,, and use a phone contact number !! If anyone refuses to call you to discuss the item,, do not deal with them !! Generally scammers or ripoff artists use email only and don’t give any specific information in email !! Use phone only so you can check on them by putting the number they call from (keep a list of anyone that calls you) !! You can put the phone number in Google and do a reverse look up to see information aboiut that phone number !! When someone calls me about anything I am selling,, after we hang up I call that number back a few minutes later just to see how they answer the phone !! Just use common sense and your own gut instinct about those you talk to !!

I appreciate your response. I’m actually trying to find out about a store that purchases furniture for resale or does consignment. I am hesitant to have Craigslist people to my home and I don’t ebay. Thank you.
