Do not know about the stripping of the exterior,, they made several different styles and finishes that did not have the pretty brass case !!

Thank you for your reply. I couldn’t distinguish which model it was and it appears as though the outter designer part was stripped. I am uncertain if it works. Guess I should check!

This register was made sometime between Jan. 1927 and Jan. 1928 !! I am guessing it doesn`t work ?? While the more ornate brass registers can be pricey,, these plain jane models are not !! Maybe $100. ,, less if it does not work !! You can look at the listings on ebay above !!
