I was recently given 12 of these plates (photo attached) that have been in my mother’s family since the Civil War and were a wedding gift to a long ago relation. Kovels has a listing that is similar, but not an exact match I don’t think “Phoenix Bird, Allover Lace, Scalloped, Cream, Pat, 1874, 9 In.”.

My plates have a scalloped edge with a basket weave design and are 9 1/2″ diameter, but have the phoenix bird and are cream.

I have searched online and have been unable to find any photos that look similar.
Does anyone have an idea to pattern and value?

Thanks very much!

Not sure if you looked for Copeland Spode at replacements.com or Ovington !! These are all listed as Ovington China but may be from any china mfr. !! The numbers at the bottom are Repacement`s numbers for ordering purposes !! Look through these and see if your pattern is there !! I am on dial up and could not get all the pics to load !!
Ovington Brothers was a large high end retailer with three stores in NY. They imported hundreds of patterns from the top mfrs in the UK and Europe !!

Perhaps not the pattern,,sorry !! The RD # is the English registry number !! Similar to our design patent numbers !! One thing it does tell us is that it is an import item !! Bought from Copeland Spode and made for Ovington Bros. who sold it in the U.S. !! Again,, that is not unusual !! Let me do some checking on that retailer and see if I can get any information for you !!

Here is a photo of the back..

I have not been able to find a photo that matches my plates.. Just the description on the Kovels site which which matches “sort of”.

There is the Copeland Spode stamp, the Made For Ovington Bors New York stamp and two stamps that are pressed in, not inked. One of the is the number 25 centered under a capital U. The other is Copeland Spode Rd No 90067. Does this assist in identifying the pattern?

Thank you so much for your kind help!

How are they marked on the back ?? Can you take a pic of the backstamp ?? You mean the phoenix bird is the same as those found but the details are different ??n Thats not unusual,, many companies made slight variations in dinner ware with the same decoration !! Usually they are noted with a pattern number only a digit or two different !!
