I have an old metal ID tag (?) that I would like to know more about. It’s 3″ wide by 2 1/8″ tall. It has:
Man’s name
No: 252116
YR: 1898 5’7″
In lower left corner the Connecticut coat of arms. In the lower right corner it says State of Connecticut.
The metal shows no rust, maybe it’s aluminum?
Does anyone know what this it?
