Other than it appears to be earthenware not much to tell !! Nothing suggests a particular region or country !! Its a pretty common form and if I were to guess I would think it was maybe an oil container !! Like olive oil or some such !!

the vase is about 11″. The fabric feels like the wool or linen.

The reason fabric is put on the bottom,, to keep it from sliding and scratching furniture !! Same reson you find green felt on many things today !! I am curious about that fabric,, is it soft or does it feel kind of like plastic ?? How big is this vase ??
