I am desperate to try and identify this piece of decorated stoneware. It appears to be made out of typical stoneware type clay, but is decorated very beautifully. all the color and decorations are slightly raised above the surface of the plain part at the bottom inch or so. The blue background is slightly raised and then the decorations are slightly raised even more. The piece is 7&3/8″ tall, 8&3/4″ wide, the opening is 4&1/4″ diameter, The base ring is 4″ diameter on the outside & 3″ diameter on the inside, and the color and decorations start about 1″ up from the bottom. It is glazed inside and out, with the only area not glazed is the bottom of the base ring.
I have exhausted all my resources and this is my last hope to be able to identify this before it is sold and i miss my chance to acquire it. I hate to put cash outlay without knowing what it is.
