I believe what you have here is Made in England. Whether or not it is solid brass or not I don’t know. But they produced lot’s of these, ranging in size 3in to very huge. I noticed a chain in back so you hang it on a wall as art. most of it is hammered from the back side like hammered aluminun. A lot are of ship scenes, some are marked but a lot are not. You can get some idea by looking on e-bay. google made in england brass hanging. Hope this help’s you a little
