Below are photos of an item I bought at an auction.   I was told it was to feed peanuts to birds.  I think not because peanuts in shells would fall out.

Someone also suggested it had something to do with bicycle tires.

I bought it because I have never seen one and it is very unusual.

The wood spacers are all the same size 3/4″ long.  The ring is 28-1/2″ in Diameter.   The two rings with wood spacers are 2-1/2″ apart.

The height of the metal loops is 2-1/2″.
