This desk is over 200 years old. Am attaching a photo.
Does it look familiar at all?
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. It belonged to my grandmother, and I would like to know more about it.

I know you will think of her every time to look at the desk !! Glad to help a bit !! You know,, many of the things I cherish most have little monetary value !! Its not all about dollars and cents !!

Totally agree with you.
I loved my gram mom…and it was hers.
Thanks again for your help…

No great monetary value because it was made for families with more modest means !! Like most families, not everyone could afford his carved pieces !! There may be a pretty good market in the NY area !! I would expect it to sell for about $300.to $500. give or take a few dollars either way !! Has much more value as a family piece that will be passed down in your family !! That is priceless to me !!

Thanks again.
Do you think this desk has any monetary value? (Am not planning on selling it….just want to know if I have to get insurance on it.)
I appreciate your expertise in this matter…
Regards…
Louise

Would have been made between 1886 and 1913 !! The link gives a pretty good history of the company. His highly carved pieces can be pricey !!
