Hi there,
I recently came across a 1905 tawny cherry queen size wood headboard made by Davis Cabinet Company in Tennessee. Could anyone provide information on an estimated value of this piece and/or the best way to go about selling it?
I am new to the antique community so any advice you could provide would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Lucas
Where did you get that information ?? The company was not in business at that time !! They bought out Standard Furniture Co. in 1929 and then started doing business as Davis Cabinet Co. Your headboard is in the Eastlake style with cane inserts !! Likely value is in the $150. to $200. range if it is complete with frame and footboard !! Headboard only $75. to $100. in most areas !! You would be better off listing on Craigslist since shipping would be a pain !!
Many people buy this type headboard to revamp into outdoor benches !!
