My sister has some tobacco felts. They were premiums given with tobacco in the early 1900s. There is one with a US flag that has 41 stars on it. I need info to find info on this felt. They are made of flannel about 5″x8″. The 41st state was Montana, admitted Nov.8,1898. Could they have been made then too?

Thanks for your help. I have looked at all on e-bay and can not find the 41 star felt. Have also looked around on Google with no luck. I did fine mention of the 41 star felt a while ago when I was just looking for felts but can not get bact to it now. Thanks again.

yes they would of been made at that time. Women used them to make pillow’s or quilts. You can learn more by browing cigarette silks also images of cigarette silks. They might not of all been silk, some are a cheap silk or felt. also on e-Bay there is hundreds of them listed under cigarette silks.
