I have an old piano that was given to me. I recently got curious about it and checked to see what it is and how old. It is an Everett baby grand made in 1923, if I understand how to tell the age by the serial number. It is in good condition with minimal scratches and does have lots of dust under the strings. It needs to be tuned but sounds very good in spite of that fact. I have seen similar pianos for sale online upwards of $20,000 completely restored.
I wonder if anyone has any idea what it would be worth “as is”. I do realize that it would depend on the buyer and how badly they wanted a piano like this. Also, does anyone know of a place online that I could post it for sale?
Thanks in advance for any comments or information.
I have attached a few pics.

Ok !! Thats better !! I wondered about that but since you posted no other numbers I assumed it was the serial number !! So the 946280 is the model/style number !!
I saw the ones that were 19 and 25k for sale !! I am not sure in todays economy that is a realistic price !! The totally restored one has a chance but it is at a specialist piano site !! Quite different from the regular classified section !!
I would recommend you call a music store if one is available to you and get someone who knows sales for this type piano,,and ask there !! My feeling is that as-is you might expect about $2500,, not $25,000. !! But I am certainly no expert so check other piano sites !! They would know more than I do !!
Many of the specialist sites have free classifieds !! And of course there is always your local Craigslist !! But you have to be very careful using it !!

Oh, the 946280 is not the serial number. That is the number on a label, or stamp, on the bottom of the piano. I thought it was interesting is the reason I posted a picture of it. The serial number is 45006. Thanks for asking so I could clarify.

According to Yamaha who owns the Everett name,, your piano 946280 was made in 1954-55 !! Are you sure that is the serial number ?? There should be a metal plate with the number on it !!
