I purchased a brass weathervane recently that has the letter O instead of a E for the directionals. It has not been altered in any way and the patina is the same over all. It was definately made as an O instead of an E. My research hasn’t turned up a thing. Can anyone help me with this one?
Hi, This may sound far fetched but the O might stand for the word Orient which is an old word for the east. Webster dictionary defines it as a poetic word for east. Most people now when you say the word think of Asia. Just a thought
