I have a picture that is dated 1859. The title of the picture is written in pencil at the bottom – it means outdoor book sale in french. It is signed, but I’m not able to identify the artist. Can someone please give me help on this. I’ve tried several places to get information with no luck. It is a very detailed picture, my photos don’t do it justice, but perhaps you can point me in the right direction to find out if this is by an amateur or a known artist. This is not a print – it appears to be done in pencil and colored in.
