I have my Great Grandmothers bedroom set. There are a lot of carvings on the pieces along with burled wood. The bed is striped down and now is ready for the new protective coating. While the wood was wet with the striping solution it was VERY beautiful so I don’t intend on adding stain. (Maybe another mistake so please feel free to make suggestions.) I am considering 100% tung oil but seems the jury is split on wether or not this is a good choice. This is in a secondary bedroom and will get little use. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks for the info! I will give this a try. I plan to experiment on a few other pieces to see what I get. I will repost when finished… 🙂
