Interesting its chinese i thought it was japanese its so big and handpainted so detailed i had to find info on it i really appreciate the info i have another signature on a japanese parquetry shadona under one of the swing doors its signed might be an easy one for you ?

Finally got needed info !! I cross posted this thread and the person I asked cross posted to an expert site on Japanese and Chinese items !! The answer was,,, it is modern Chinese,, the oval says “Specially Made” which in western lingo would be the same as “a speciality product” Another part says “Dan Long” which translated into Chinese means “Red Dragon” who is probably the decorator !! This vase was likely purchased at an import shop !!
Just use the vase as is,, restoration would cost more than the value of the vase !!

Any ideas on signature if it is
