Hey all, brand new around here and looking for some learned folks’ opinions.

I’ve been tasked with selling off an estate, part of which is a large collection of antique china/crystal/porcelain. I don’t know much about these things at all, but have a few ideas. There is one 72 piece tea/coffee Meissen from 1825-1925 based on marks and a 52 piece Royal Worcester dinner service set I haven’t dated yet. My ideas so far:

1. Sell em on Ebay.
Unsure of what a good starting price is and it’d be about 14% of the sale price after their fees. There does appear to be a decent market for it though, anyone have experience with Ebay for this type of thing?

2. Have a consignment store take it.
I’m in a pretty metro area and would expect to get a good price for em, but I anticipate their cut would be significant. I’ve also never dealt with a consignment store before.

3. Have the sets appraised online. Something like http://www.figurines-sculpture.com/antique-china-values.html ?
I expect it would be a fairly accurate pricing for a low-ish fee and would probably give me a better idea of a price to start at for Ebay.

4. Are there any better websites for this type of auction?

Here are some pics of an item from each set along with mark.

When was the Meissen set purchased ?? There were many 20th century imitations !! The mark does not look right to me !! There are many Meissen imitators !! If you can catch Chris Marshall here maybe he will take a look !! He is the owner of porcelainmarksandmore.com and is an expert in this field !! Not to say that many of the imitations are not good porcelain,, many are quite good but just not Meissen !!
Can we get a closer pic of the other mark ??
