As a novice at posting in this forum, the photograph of one of two of the jars, did not attached. Please see the attached photograph.

Dear Martha,

Thank you for your reply. Please see attached the two bases of the jars.

The wording that appear on a strip of typed paper for the auction held in 1981 said the following;
”Chinese Jars. 1892.” .

But Chinese friends say that Japanese writing (as previously shown) and the jar patterns are Japanese.

So there is confusion here !

As an expert, what do you think ?

Does anyone else have any views on this ?

Any direction as to where these beautiful jars originated from would be much appreciated.
