The only mark on it is on the bottom “216/29” but there is no maker’s mark otherwise. It’s a beautiful piece, about 12 inches high and 7 inches in diameter at the widest point. The pewter lid is hinged. The colors are reddish brown at the top and handle, graduating to greenish blue then cobalt blue with a white pattern, then transitioning back to the reddish brown at the bottom. There are darker greenish rings around the base of the neck and base of the bottom.

Any thoughts on who made this one? Thanks so much in advance!:cheer:

It is a copy of a Bellarmine jug circa 16th century- you can go to Antiques.com see a similar version.
One Dealer that had one at the New York Fair was John Howard I think. You can find lower priced real versions fairly cheap.
I hope this helps. Vince

I will search my emails as I get several newsletters from European Dealers- he is a large firm though. You can also search the Londonmuseum.org website its huge.

Thank you for the clue. Do you happen to remember which dealer had the original? I would love to see it if there are photos out there. Thanks again.

It is a modern copy of a 16th century English/German? piece- There is actually a dealer in London with a real one.
The real one was at the Ceramic Fair in New York past January. Quality piece but modern.
