Hi. I’m new to Kovels. I have researched and found that my item is a Vase. It’s jade green or turqoise gloss finish no ribbing (jar shaped) 5 inch high and 5 inch wide with handles near the shoulders. It is marked Bauer Los angeles on the bottom the bottom has a non glazed ring Is it pre 1930 Bauer and are those worth more or less than 1930’s pottery? It’s in excellent condition. I see no listings with this description on the site. Thank You

Typically the foot is left unglazed on most pottery !! There are a few exceptions, one being made in China !! You should look up the individual pot shape and glaze type !! Can sometimes tell when produced by the name on bottom !!
Can you post pics of the vase and one of the marking on bottom ?? Did some checking and according to pottery experts the pieces made in the 20`s were marked either “Bauer” or “Bauer Los Angelis” marks in the 30`s were “Bauer, Made in USA” or “Bauer, USA” !! But they have made reproductions from the old designs !! Many that are being sold today are new !! Not fakes,, they are Bauer Pottery,, just not old ones !!
