I’ve had a few different antique dealers tell me this is a Rene Ben-Lisa bowl, then a few that said it was not. I don’t think it really fits in with work that is displayed currently such as his vases but a European dealer advised this:
it could be one of his early pieces,
and his signature might have evolved from this one.

But I am not sure.

this is a very Japanese style piece, I know he looked a lot at the Japanese.
He corresponded with Philippe Lambercy, a swiss potter from Geneva, and this piece
also looks influenced by Lambercy.

The very thought that it could be is enough to keep me doing research. I have been looking for about 6 months but haven’t found the mark or an exact match. Similar style but the mark is never there. I thought it could possibly be a student Warren Mackenzie piece but have been told no although I think it matches their style a little better. Christies auction house have my photos as well, for about 6 weeks and have been told they are still researching it.
