Is this piece old Wedgwood? According to the marks, I’m seeing August, 1863. Is this correct? Does anyone know what the value of this penefoil box might be? It features ‘Muses watering Pegasus.’ Any and all information is much appreciated.

One other thing,, I think this box is 1868 rather than 1863 !! ( Hoping I remember correctly) !!

Thats not necessary,, just making sure you used the chart !! Sometimes people just go by what a seller tells them !!
As an antique Wedgwood piece I think your trinket box should sell between $60. and $80.!! But if you sell it do not try ebay !! Go to Ruby Lane or one of the better sites for antiques !! They are still making this same shape trinket box and are selling them cheaply on several sites !! Did not find the same cameo that is on yours but most of the ebay buyers wouldn`t care which one was on it !!

Thanks for your help! I appreciate it.

It’s spelled Wedgwood. I found a website via google that had history on the company and a chart with what the stamps mean. I don’t have it here in front of me, but can share it with you when I get home.

Can you tell me how Wedgwood is spelled ?? It appears to be plain block lettering but I can barely see the last few letters in the pics !! How did you come by that date ??

Can we see the mark please ??

I added a couple pics- neither of which are great, but the best I could get with a magnifying glass and my phone. Eager to hear your thoughts!
